We often talk about the three types of stress, physical, emotional and chemical. The chemical stress on our bodies can be tremendous.
You probably have a favorite laundry detergent. If they supplied a list of ingredients it would require a chemical engineering degree to decipher. It gets worse.
After your “whites are whiter than white” many people add more chemicals to their clothing by using a fabric softener. All these chemicals attach themselves to your favorite shirt and lucky socks.
Better living through chemistry? We’re not convinced. We think better living comes from less chemistry. Give some thought to the potential carcinogens, allergens and chemical stressors in your life. See what you can do to reduce them—improving your health in the process.
As a culture we really underestimate the amount of chemical stress in our lives. If you take an inventory of chemicals in your home, that we voluntarily spread all over our counters, dishes, floors, and clothes, our homes are like a toxic waste dump. Do you know what is in your dish detergent, that leaves residues on your plates and cups for you to ingest? Did you know that the chemicals in fabric softener stay on your clothes as a film that gets absorbed into your skin when you wear your clothes or sleep in your sheets? Do you know what is in the body lotion that is being absorbed into your blood stream through the largest organ of your body, you skin?
You do have the ability to limit these toxic exposures. Make more conscious choices when choosing cosmetics and cleaning products for your home. Baking soda and vinegar go a long way for cleaning and even as shampoo (I haven’t used commercial shampoo in almost 6 years and I don’t think you can tell:)).
You have likely already been exposed to these toxic chemicals in your lifetime. The next step is to cleanse the body of all the build up of these toxins. Check out this video httpv://www.areyoutoxic.com and call 613-823-1255 to find out more about how you can cleanse these toxins out of your life.
