“While training for a 10K run I suffered an Iliotibial band injury. I was on the threshold of achieving my target distance but as a result I couldn’t run more than 2-3K without pain. With three weeks to go until my race, I had serious doubts I was going to be able to participate.“Just a note to let you know of the fabulous success I have had as a result of being in the very capable hands (literally) of Madeleine.

“I went to see Madeleine as part of our regular massage visits and explained the issue. Aside from being a health professional she is also a runner, like myself, and she clearly understood the level of frustration of not being able to run.

“She applied myofascial massage technique to the IT band, spending most of the 45 minutes on my legs. The next day I ran my first 10K – ever, pain free!

“I made an appointment for the same treatment the day before my race. On race day I ran the 10K (my second one ever) taking over a minute off my time. Thank goodness for Madeleine!!” – S. Lang, Barrhaven

“I am not one for massages normally. However I was suffering from a nagging calf injury, so I asked my GP for advice. He suggested physio and massage therapy. As physio was going to take some time, and I’m too busy to go as frequently as they wanted.

“I opted for a few massage therapy treatments with Dayna. From the onset it was a completely positive experience. From the calm and relaxing environment in the room to the pleasant and very professional demeanour of Dayna.

“Within the hour, I felt a great improvement in my legs, better mobility and I will be seeing her regularly for massage therapy check-ups. Thank you very much for your help.”  -J Caillier, Ottawa.
